Product Variants

Product variants are the sizes and colours associated to one product. For jewelry products, use O/S (one size) as the size variant and metal types as colors. Once variants are added, SKU numbers will automatically be generated.

Please note these SKU numbers can be edited to match existing SKUs in your current ERP system.

How to create variants

Example: Creating a swimsuit in 2 colorways Black/Yellow and Black/White that is available in sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL.

  1. Click + Add Variants. Very important: for sizes, the order the sizes are entered in will be displayed throughout the product details. Example if you enter your sizes as S, M, L, XL, XXL, then it will display in this order in the measurements section. Best Practice: enter sizes from smallest to largest.

Add in your specific variants. (Remember to press the Enter key after entering your variant.) Then click Create Variants

  2. Once you click Create Variants, SKU numbers will be generated as per below:
You can always go back and edit variants by clicking on Edit Variants.
To re-order the variants in your table, click on the header, and hold down to drag and place the column in the order you would like it to appear in the table.

Tip: You can download your variants table to excel by clicking the icon above the table next to the search bar. You will notice this icon appears often in Calico, allowing for a download of information or table into excel.
