Libraries
βYour libraries can be used as folders where you will store all related components. For example, if making a product that has many different fabrics, create a library named "Fabrics" and then create each fabric being used as a component. Other examples are creating libraries for: labels, hang tags, packaging, constructive elements (Stitches, bonding and more - if non standard), finishes, trims, etc.
To create a library click Edit Libraries, then click Create Library:
Library fields
βLibrary fields are fields that are specific to the components in the library you are creating. These fields will be added to your components page. Using the Fabric example, some custom fields might be : Country of Origin, Cost, Supplier, etc. Custom fields can be tracked on all components. This can be helpful as a data metric to be tracked in reports in the future; it will allow for frequency of use reports and trends over time.
To create a Library Field, click on +custom field:
Enter your field in Custom Field Label and then you can choose the input of the field by selecting the Field Type.
You can continue to add custom fields by clicking + Add Custom Field. Once you have entered all the fields you require, you can click create.
Click on View Component Library to go back to to main Libraries page and begin creating components.
